Last week i went to Fashion and Textile Museum in Tower Bridge with Bibi, my flatmate, and was fabulous! We saw the exhibition Horrockses Fashions: Off the Peg Style in the '40s and '50s, cureted by author and Design Historian Dr Christine Boydell. Horrockses Fashions Limited was the manufacturer of one of the most well-respected ready-to-wear labels of the1940s and 1950s.
The colourful prints, particulary floral designs gives a visual feast for visitors to the exhibition.
